From 4 to 6 February, Celia Tenorio, Bárbara Folch, Irene Leonés and Miriam Gámiz represented our group at the 17th Congress of the Spanish Society for Microbiota, Probiotics and Prebiotics, held in Málaga under the theme ‘The human microbiome: from research to clinical practice’.
Our researchers made a notable contribution to the poster session. Irene presented the paper “Microbiome alterations in endometriosis: a systematic review and meta-analysis of the reproductive tract and gut”; Celia shared “Analysis of the vaginal and placental microbiome in pregnant women”; and Miriam presented “Menstrual Blood as a Potential Source for Non-Invasive Microbial Biomarker Discovery: A Systematic Review”.
In addition, Bárbara’s study, “Characterisation of the urogenital-rectal microbiome in women with recurrent implantation failure”, was selected for an oral presentation.
Three days of scientific updates in Málaga that reinforce our lines of research on the microbiome and reproductive health.
